Jody helps women feel more confident in their makeup, whether they are learning what suits them now, preparing for a wedding, getting ready for a brand shoot or planning a special occasion.

Her work is not about changing how someone looks. It is about helping each client feel comfortable, polished and still very much like themselves.

A lifelong love of makeup

Jody’s connection with makeup began in 1999 when she trained as a bridal makeup artist and started building her freelance business alongside a full-time career in banking.

In 2002, she studied for her NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy and quickly realised that makeup was where her real passion sat.

For many years, makeup was something she continued quietly in the background while building a successful corporate career. Alongside bridal and occasion makeup, Jody spent 28 years at Barclays Bank, where she rose to Director level.
That mix of creativity, professionalism and real-life experience now shapes the way she works with every client.

From corporate life to Addicted To Face

In 2023, Jody made the decision to leave corporate life and focus fully on Addicted To Face.

The business began with bridal and occasion makeup, but as Jody worked with more women in their 40s, 50s and beyond, she noticed something important.

Many women felt the beauty industry no longer spoke to them.

They were not looking for heavy contouring, fast online tutorials or trends aimed at much younger skin. They wanted someone who understood changing skin, different features, busy lives and the feeling of looking in the mirror and not quite knowing what worked anymore.

Addicted To Face naturally became more than makeup application. It became a place for education, confidence and honest beauty guidance.

Jody now specialises in makeup education, personal shopping and makeup artistry for women who want advice that feels personal and useful.

For brides and occasion clients, it means makeup that feels polished but not overdone.

For corporate clients, it means practical beauty and confidence support for professional women, teams and events.
